If you are going to spend a small fortune on a hair color that you are not likely to use again, then why not get permanent pink hair dye? There are many benefits to using this dye and the color can look fantastic for as long as you follow some simple steps. This article gives you a quick run down of what you need to know about using this permanent dye.

Pink hair dye is designed to take dye from your roots to your ends. There is no limit to how much you can do, or how far back you can go. In order to get the best effect, you want to start with as natural a color as possible.

This dye is best suited to blonde, brown and light yellow tones. This means that if you have very dark roots, you will need to add a touch of blonde to get the best results. If you have lighter roots, you will have to use a darker blonde.

To apply the pink dye, you first have to rinse it off. While you are rinsing, be sure to keep your hair dry. Next, put your hair in a loose ponytail. Twist it in the middle, or roll it up if it's difficult.

From the right side, make a big circle, but make sure that the circle is clean and free of knots. Tie a small hair tie to secure the hair tie to the ponytail.

When you finish rinsing your hair, the pink dye should still be in the hair. While it is there, rinse it well with cold water to remove any excess dye.

From the center, take two sides of the ponytail and place them together at the back of the head. Using a section of a shower curtain or similar material, pull the ends taut. Pull the ponytail out from underneath, but don't twist the ends together. To help hold the ponytail in place, slip a pair of rubber bands through the ponytail at each end.

Take one side of the ponytail out and gently tug, but be careful not to pull too hard. The aim is to make the two ends lie close together but still able to turn without breaking the hair.

Then, using the other side of the ponytail, take the two ends taut. Again, use the rubber bands to keep the two ends together.

Tighten the hair tie at each end as much as possible, until the ponytail looks like a bun. Let the hair tie dry naturally.

Pigtails are the most traditional application of permanent hair dye. These work by taking color from your roots up to the tips. The hair color needs to match the roots.

Pigtails usually come in pairs or trios, but can also be worn alone or in trios. To create the best appearance, you need to give the hair color enough time to oxidize and penetrate the hair shaft.
